Project description: Mashhad international airport, which recorded 8.2 million passengers in 2014, is located in the northeast of the country and serves the country’s second largest city. The Iran Airports Company (IAC) and VINCI Airports have signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development and expansion of Mashhad airport. Mashhad is a holy city that attracts more than 20 million pilgrims every year.
Services: An Environmental & Social Due Diligence Assessment (ESDD) for Mashhad Airport was carried out due to received request from our French client, VINCI Airports. Current and past environmental conditions, as well as a cursory overview of the current environmental compliance status of the subject site were Identified during site visit. A materiality threshold of 100,000 EUR was applied per identified issues.
