Project Description: In order to avoid sale of raw natural gas and creating added value and employment in the southern coasts of the country, eight areas were site selected for energy intensive industries. Second priority is Lamerd site in the south of Fars Province. Lamerd Energy Intensive Industries Special Economic Zone with 8500 hectare is developing in order to establish the energy intensive industries such as aluminium, magnesium, steel, petrochemical, power stations, and the other related industries.

Services: SAM Rah Shahr Company is the consultant of Lamerd Energy Intensive Industrial Special Economic Zone for waste management master plan. Waste produced by employees during 25 years is calculated and master plan for managing this source of waste is planned. Additionally, In order to select a suitable location for construction of a sanitary landfill, SAM has used different software for applying environmental constraints and limitations for landfill site selection, thereafter has chosen some alternatives. SAM’s experts have visited the selected locations to define the best available location for construction of the sanitary landfill.
