Energy Intensive Industries Site Selection

Project description: The ownership of world’s largest natural gas field, South Pars with %8 reserve of the world gas, is shared by Iran and Qatar. The development project of this gas field will consist of 28 phases and 14 refineries. In order to create added value and avoid sell of raw fossil resources of the country, Iranian government has decided to layout several energy intensive sites in the South Coasts of the country. One of the main goals of this project, in addition to the above mentioned goals, is creation of employment in the Southern Coasts of the country. In this regard, site selection of these industries commenced in 6 southern provinces which led to selection of eight alternative sites with the priority of Lamerd and Pasrian.

Services: The services rendered by SAM Rah Shahr were preparation of environmental baseline and natural hazard studies in six southern provinces and site selection of suitable lands.
