Chahar Dangeh Producer Guilds Complex

Chahar Dangeh Producer Guilds Complex

Client: Industry Organizing Company of Tehran

Location: Tehran, Iran

Commencement: January 2013

Completion: January 2014

Project description: Producer guilds of Tehran have been working traditionally for more than 50 years. A high number of people are working in these guilds and their productions have been classified in 41 different guilds. The development of these guilds have created traffic congestion as well water and air and noise pollution in Tehran. Expansion of the city of Tehran to the east and west has made them face high costs which in turn increases the price of their final products. Therefore these products cannot compete with similar products in other cities and even in the region. The goal of this project is to transfer 10 guilds from Tehran to a region (Chahar Dangeh) in the south of city of Tehran, in an area of approximately 220 hectares. Placing them in one location, helps reduce the costs of these guilds and decrease some of the problems of the city of Tehran.

Services: SAM Rah Shahr provided a wide range of services in this project such as management of a section of this project as well as EBS, air, water and noise pollution survey, ESIA, and solid waste and waste water management plan.
