Project description: In order to avoid sale of raw natural gas and creating added value and employment in the southern coasts of the country, eight areas were site selected for energy intensive industries. Second priority and land number 2 with an area of 10,000 hectares, is Lamerd site in the south of Fars Province. The goal for development of this site is establishment of energy intensive and low water consuming industries such as Aluminum, electricity, downstream industries and similar ones.
